Pregnancy Foundation/AAOGF Scholarship Award:

In 2002, the Pregnancy Foundation (formerly SMFM Foundation) and the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation (AAOGF) joined forces for the purpose of funding and administering a new research award – the Foundation/AAOGF Scholarship Award. The scholarship, beginning with the 2012 award, will be for $120,000 per year, renewable for a total of three years. The award was created to fund promising young scholars in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine.

A joint committee of the Foundation and the AAOGF selects the scholars. Applicants for the Foundation/AAOGF Scholarship must have recently completed MFM subspecialty training or be in the second or third year of an ABOG approved MFM fellowship training program at the time application is made. Candidates must also be members of SMFM.
